Description
Based on a Government Decision, Hungary joined the Cultural Routes of the European Council on 1 March 2013. Since than Hungarian associations and institutions can accede already existing routs or, with other European partners can apply for the Cultural Routes of the European Council’s certification.
Between 2013 and 2019 the National Cultural Institution Ltd. coordinated the program, from 2019 the Minister responsible for culture delegated this task to the directorate of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Hungarian Open Air Museum.
Our main goals are sharing information and documents; preparing and publishing Hungarian guides and docs; communicating with the representatives of the Hungarian Cultural Routes, the Institution of European Cultural Routes (Luxemburg); delegating experts to meetings and forums; and giving advice and info to the inquiring Hungarian associations and communities.
The experiences and activities of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Directorate of the Hungarian Open Air Museum would ensure the effective support of the Hungarian and European communities and networks.
